...at the Chigboro Trout Fishing Lakes near Maldon Essex in early June 2008. Each of our guests from Chelmsford New Model Special School received a Certificate of participation presented by W.Bro. Ken Bernie, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, and some went away with a beautiful rainbow trout. There is no wonder that the slogan Catch The Smile was chosen.

We had a terrific turnout of helpers and casters, which enabled the children to participate in one-to-one fishing. Patsi Hargitt, the trip leader, has put in a request to bring her older students 16-19 year olds to a future event. Our grateful thanks go to the Organisers, to all of our casters and helpers, W.Bro Andrew Bishop, Provincial Grand Secretary of Essex, who spent the day with us, Tara and Victoria who cooked the breakfast, and to David Weston and his daughter Sam and son-in-law Tom who cooked the BBQ lunch for us all.
