A first for Oxford.

“Flaming June” was an apt description of the day on the seventh when The Provincial Grand Lodge of Oxfordshire sponsored its first MTSFC Event for fifteen participants at Bushyleaze Trout Fishery.

To say this event was successful is an understatement.

Although due to the sunny and hot weather conditions only a few fish were taken, the enthusiasm of the participants egged on by the casters saw the participants and their schools begging for more.

The catering provided by the venue was most comprehensive and enjoyed by us all. We can safely say not one of the personnel there was underfed on the day.

The obvious enjoyment by the participants was an ample thank you to the Organisers, Casters, Red Cross First Aider and all the others who helped.

 

The look on the faces of the participants during the fishing, lunch and prize giving was a sight to see and could not help putting a lump in the throat of those who worked so hard for the day’s success.

Roll on September 20th when another event is planned at the same venue.
